Today Is The Day
I got up this morning
with a message in my head
Said everyday you're breathing
is a day for breaking bread
I opened my window
To feel the breeze and smell the roses
I looked to the trees and
At the top was a humming bird's nest
Today's the day
I know everything is worth it
I want to play and dance around
Like it's your birthday
Nothing to go wrong
We're sure to get our way
so we'll say
If you're glad then sing along
And if you're not you'd better move along
'Cause we're having our fun
I poured me a cup of joe
Then I brushed my teeth
I ran out the door
to go work
For the company driving the streets
I see a man lying underneath a tree
I pulled to my right
and rolled down my window
And gave him all my money
Today's the day
