Jump
I was sitting on a platform in a tree
I was looking down and everyone was looking up at me
The ground seemed so far away
I asked them how to get down and I heard a man say

He said that he pushed skydivers out of planes
Even people wearing parachutes are sometimes afraid
They need help making the leap too
He said, "Do you want me to come up there and push you?"

I nodded yes, and he climbed up
I could feel his hands on my shoulders
He counted 1, 2, 3 and I surrendered
To him, to the tree, to gravity
I landed safely in soft, tall grass
And I started to laugh
