Amnistía Internacional celebra sus 50 años con el lanzamiento de un tributo a Bob Dylan

Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan está compuesto por cuatro CD que contienen 75 covers de Bob Dylan, grabados especialmente para la ocasión e interpretadas por una amplia y heterogénea gama de artistas, que van desde Joan Baez a Miley Cyrus, pasando por Ximena Sariñana , Jackson Browne, Pete Seeger, Patti Smith, Sting, Kris Kristofferson, Taj Mahal, Elvis Costello, Lenny Kravitz o Mark Knopfler, entre muchos otros.

 

Amnistía Internacional escogió a Bob Dylan para este proyecto porque en 2012 también será el aniversario 50 de su disco debut.

 

"La música de Bob Dylan permanece porque captura de forma brillante nuestro corazón roto, nuestra felicidad, nuestra fragilidad, nuestra confusión, nuestra valentía, nuestra fragilidad y nuestras luchas. Nosotros, en Amnistía Internacional, estamos profundamente agradecidos a este legendario músico y a todos los artistas que han contribuído al proyecto", cuentan desde la organización.

 

Con la aparición de Chimes of Freedom, también se busca reunir fondos para continuar la gestión de esta organización que vela por los prisioneros políticos y las víctimas de violaciones de los derechos humanos alrededor del mundo.

 

Con este recopilado no sólo se reúne el talento y los temas de Dylan, también se pretende alzar la voz sobre aquellas causas justas por las que Amnistía ha luchado en estos 50 años.

 

El disco tendrá su debut físico el próximo 24 de enero en Estados Unidos y, posteriormente, el 30 del mismo mes en el resto del mundo.
