I was the puppet, I answered the call
You pulled the strings, to make me fall
I took the knife, I cut your power
A little magic gives way at the appointed hour

I was the poet, I was the bard
I sweated blood for you and the words came hard
I wrote the book on it I am the one
The Devil called, butr there was no one home

I was the Pirate with the Dandy walk
Was hated and despised but you were full of talk
I took your world away, made it shine like mine
Can't do things your way while I do it mine

I was the Joker I made you smile
With a quick short wit that stood out a mile
I arrived to laughter and I left to tears
It's amazing how they change when they're shown their fears

You wrote the book on life I played the lead
You gave me nothing, I saw through your greed
Make like a Creator but you're a duplication
You're just a clone in it's own damnation
