First Snow Falling
First snow falling in the end of June
early winter, maybe summer soon?
A year has gone, but it feels more like ten
It took some time to grow again
We'd been waiting patient for too long
for the summer, and for the sun to warm
a perfect fishing trip we'd planned
the silk green water trough our hands
The oceans finally boiling right here underneath me
So far away from where i´d thought i´d be
And it has just exploded out in shimmering sunlight
Your closer now, then you have ever been
This early morning, winds were building up,
we filled the boat with harps and fishing rods
A wall of clouds touching the waterline,
Said snow in June must be a sign
You stood there waiting when we got home
You'd maid a fire on the beach, you said please come and join,
And all your fears will be gone.
