Rain

Man, I remember rain, I remember rain
Pouring over pain on my window pane
Way too many scars, way too many pains
Ain't too many are's, way too many ain't's
I got way too many was, and few to many wasn't's
I lost way too many friends and way too many cousins
Man, I done lost my auntie, I done lost my uncles
Man I done lost my sisters, I done lost my brothers

Okay I'm gone be the safety, God's the quarterback
Holy Spirit, fill me up and take control of that
We need God to fill the place where all the holes is at
My best friend lost his brother man how cold is that
Man this world is super crazy-that's a proven fact
This life will chew you up and spit you out and hand you back
Man, I can't even get no rest with all that's going on
Too many people think they right, but they so in the wrong
But sometimes I guess we all wrong
That's why I close my eyes and pray to keep my head strong
I feel like Satan got a guillotine with our names on it
If we stay away from him, we keep our heads on
And head on
I swear there's more to life than accolades
Being saved ain't synonymous with getting paid
So many get caught up with all their day-to-day's
I feel like all of our priorities somehow have strayed

We've turned away
And now we looking back at all that's gone
Never stopped to think about what's really going on
Come on dawg
I mean, you knew what you were doing wrong
Living life chasing vanity for way too long
And now the doors are closed
Your like those bridesmaids who had no oil
See we got extra, but you really can't afford those
That's a parable of Jesus that they never show
They wanted flow, but I rather just record those

Man I remember rain, I remember rain
Pouring over pain on my window pane
Way too many scars, way too many pains
Ain't too many are's, way too many ain't's
I got way too many was, and few to many wasn't's
I lost way too many friends and way too many cousins
Man, I done lost my aunties, I done lost my uncles
Man I done lost my sisters, I done lost my brothers
