The Washington Sniper

Drifting away, the flood's too strong
Withholding me in my lonely struggle
To get a grip on my stirred life

What's going on with the world today, it's tumbling down
In exchange for wealth people get killed
There's a constant danger, night and day
Even kids aren't safe anymore

What sickened this earth, what made it go wrong
That innocents should die on selfish grounds
It seems the values of life are gone
And people try to survive (in every way they can)

Drifting away, the flood's too strong
Withholding me in my lonely struggle
To get a grip on my stirred life

What's going on with the world today, it's tumbling down
In exchange for wealth people get killed
There's a constant danger, night and day
Even kids aren't safe anymore

Every day it seems it's going worse
Falling back into bad habits from the past
Instead of crashing into better days
