Grow Up

Cartoons on a Saturday morning were the
Only thing that got me through the week
The birds are tweeting and the grass is green
I'm not going outside, my eyes are glued to the screen

When you get older, cartoons are still great
It's a game of chess
On a stale mate
They say, stop being a child
The time is over, start being wild

It doesn't matter what the grown ups say
They can talk all they want, we'll still do it our way
I don't really want to lead by example
We don't wanna grow up
It's only natural

When we were young we ran this town, we used to
Ride our bikes till the sun went down
Without a care, we had nothing to lose but always
Made it home in time for Scooby-dooby-doo

It doesn't matter what the grown ups say
They can talk all they want, we'll still do it our way
I don't really want to lead by example
We don't wanna grow up
It's only natural

So many crazes back in the day
Sick things they used to say
Xmen, cars and dinosaurs
Rocking the Megatron with the monsters in my pocket
Mortal Kombat all day long
Jack riders are my favourite pyjamas
And that's when all of this
Was still the same

(I don't wanna grow up)
(I don't wanna grow up)
(I don't wanna grow up) (Still the same)
(I don't wanna grow up) (Still the same)

(I don't wanna grow) (Still the same)
(I don't wanna grow) (Still the same)
(I don't wanna grow) (Still the same)
(I don't wanna grow) (Still the same)
(I don't wanna grow) (Still the same)
(I don't wanna grow) (Still the same)
(I don't wanna grow)
