Like the sick man

Like the sick man who's lain in bed a long time
and one day wants to make an effort to get up
but his strength cannot help him much,
and when, on his feet, he suddenly falls down,
this happens to me, for I strive against love,
and want to follow all that my mind wishes:
I can't do it, because my strength is taken
by an extreme suffering caused by love.
