Though he’d written songs since high school, country singer Casey Donahew didn’t start performing his own material until he taught himself to play guitar in college.
∙ Donahew has been known to sprinkle his live sets with covers of 50 Cent’s “In Da Club" and Vanilla Ice’s “Ice Ice Baby.” ∙ Beginning with 2010’s Double-Wide Dream, he landed four consecutive albums in the Top 10 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. ∙ Matchbox Twenty’s Yourself or Someone Like You inspired Donahew’s songwriting, and he covered their hit “3 am” for his 2017 greatest-hits set, 15 Years - The Wild Ride. ∙ He has self-released all his music under the guidance of his manager-wife, Melinda.
