Dreamless

Paper edges glow
Burn my words into the sky
Every time I sleep
It’s dreamless
Another hour gone
That I’m never getting back

You knew that I’d find
A note inside a coffee cup
We would watch the sunrise
As the world was busy sleeping

If we could go
Way out of this town
Maybe to the coast
You never know
Exhausted
Exhausted

Daylight

All these wasted thoughts
In the back of my head
Keeping me awake
Will it ever change?
You’ll never be this age again
But it comforts me to watch it fall apart

Exhausted

Daylight
