Silver Linings

SILVER LINING

When you walked in the room I could feel
Something shifted, felt kind of surreal
It was lust, but not like we knew
I could see right through

The planets they fell out of line
Blurry, yet somehow defined
It was strange how we knew deep down
That we'd float, no never drown

Oh, those silver linings
Comforted me when the night
Threatened to fade the light
You're the silver lining
Brining me in from the cold
Wrapping my heart in gold

In the end we both make
Those promises we have to break
No illusions to color our gaze
Just the warmth of those rays

When you walked in the room I could feel
Something shifted, felt kind of surreal
It was strange how we knew deep down
That we'd float, no never drown

Oh, those silver linings
Comforted me when the night
Threatened to fade the light
You're the silver lining
Brining me in from the cold
Wrapping my heart in gold

In the end we both make
Those promises we have to break
No illusions to color our gaze
Just the warmth of those rays
