If I could see

If I could only see in the shadows
and so understand and value the darkness.
Is it the heart or is it the mind who decides it,
from my corner I painfully see life passing by.

I would like to be the one to discover it,
I would like to be the inventor,
but I cannot, I cannot, I don’t have the strength
and back I go to my darkness.

I want to return to my path,
I want to know that you’ll be there,
but you cannot, you cannot, your strength fails you
and back you go to your brightness.

Who will gently and lovingly answer my question?
Today after singing we will see what happens.
But I cannot, I cannot see clearly
and this frightens me, that is why I need a little help.
